SkanseNovo is a more than 100-year-old Kurpie cottage moved to our area 40 years ago from a nearby village, along with a 4-flame kitchen, a reel, a flax pulp mill and a bread shovel. We added the fireplace ourselves. Local craftsmen made the furniture and trim. The cottage stands in an unfenced forest (area 2000m2) in the Narew Landscape Park, 300m from a bend of the Narew River. A forest road leads to it. In front of the house there is a sunny clearing surrounded by pines and spruces with a place for a bonfire, deck chairs, ball games. In case of rain, the barbecue can stand under the shelter, under which there is also a large table. We are separated from the neighboring cottages by hazel, broom, wild lilacs. It's idyllic and idyllic. While the caregivers are lounging, the children can spend their time actively. (Inflatable pool, swing, sandbox and mud kitchen). Families with children, please contact us before making a reservation. We are visited by hares, roe deer and elk, hedgehogs and grass snakes, bats. To visit the beavers, you have to walk alone about 300meters to the Narew River. At a distance of about a kilometer there are flowery meadows and mushroom forests. A little farther away the famous marshes - pulwy (Protected Areas - Natura 2000). The area around the river is most conveniently explored from the position of a canoe (200m from SkanseNovo there are Sunny Canoes) or on foot along a charming path along the river. By bicycle you can go on a tour of the area. In autumn we invite you to go mushroom picking and all year round to fish and do sweet nothing. In nearby Rzasnik there is Azarro stable. Beyond that, the countryside, fields, meadows, cows, chickens, ducks and somewhere definitely a road to Ostroleka.
