Description
The approximately 17 square meter shepherd's caravan with veranda and outdoor sauna is an oasis of well-being and a retreat for the senses: spending the night in the shepherd's caravan means: sleeping like a Siebensch(l)äfer. The nostalgic wagon is equipped with a lot of love for wood and other natural building materials, but also with modern sanitary and kitchen installations. In the bedroom there is a comfortable double sofa bed and a loft bed. In the kitchen-living room, in addition to the work area, there is a cozy sitting area with a wood-burning stove and a dreamlike view over meadows and fields to the wooded Siegtal hills, from which Windeck Castle towers. The bathroom with shower and toilet is accessible from the living room and also from the outside. The outdoor sauna is located next to the entrance. Our water comes from our own drinking water well from 40 meters deep, the electricity from our photovoltaic system. ARRIVAL BY TRAIN We live within walking distance of the Schladern/Sieg train station (less than 700 meters). So it is easy to get there by public transport: RE 9 travel time to Cologne-Deutz 43 min, to Siegburg 24 min, to Bonn Hbf 59 min (change trains once). Connections several times per hour. There are also suburban trains on weekends all night. Footpath from the train station Coming from Cologne / Bonn, turn right, cross the parking lot and walk down the street (against the direction of the train). After about 150 m the road leads to the right through the railroad underpass. Immediately after that the "Steiner Weg" turns off to the left. Forts. see above.. You must know that the road where we live is a forest road. Initially the Steiner Weg is still asphalted. It goes slightly uphill along the railroad embankment and then makes a sharp bend to the right. Then you can see the houses number 1 and 3 on the left, but you can't see our house. Only after about 250 m of forest road (without asphalt) our house (number 5) appears on the left. Below our private driveway there are two parking spaces for our guests on the left side of the field. A small staircase leads from there to our property to a gravel area. From there you can already see a tree house on the right. The same path leads to the Tiny-House "Schäferwagen". To get to our house, instead of going to the tree house and the shepherd's cart, walk to the left across the gravel area and go up the stone stairs to the right, right next to the wide entrance gate. It leads to our front door. We wish you a pleasant journey!
