WELCOME TO VERA GRANDE From Vera Grande, we would like to welcome you and thank you for your interest in our cabins, an accommodation designed to enjoy nature, tranquility, and the rural environment. Our cabins are located within a 60,000 m² estate, in the heart of the La Vera region, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos and surrounded by a privileged environment, with forests, trails, and numerous gorges of crystal-clear waters. AN ACCOMMODATION IN NATURE One of the characteristics that makes Vera Grande special is precisely its location in the countryside. For this reason, and although we pay special attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of the cabins, occasionally an insect or small animal native to the natural environment may enter. To minimize this possibility, we recommend keeping the doors closed, especially at night when the interior lights are on, and avoiding leaving open food or food scraps outside. IMPORTANT: RESTRICTIONS DURING SUMMER For safety and fire prevention reasons, during the high fire risk period, from May 27 to October 15, 2026, it is prohibited to make fires and use the barbecue. These restrictions must be respected at all times and may be adapted to the indications established by the competent authorities. BARBECUE AND FIREPLACE Outside the prohibition period, the use of the barbecue is free of charge. Guests can bring their own charcoal and lighting material. If you prefer, we can have it prepared: Bag of charcoal + lighting tablets: 10 € To enjoy the cabin's fireplace, we can also provide you with: Wheelbarrow of firewood + lighting tablets: 10 € The firewood is stored covered and protected from the rain. However, as we are in a mountainous area with high humidity, especially during rainy periods or prolonged bad weather, the firewood may retain some degree of moisture, which may cause it to take longer to ignite at times. For this reason, we also provide lighting tablets to facilitate the lighting of the fireplace. We recommend requesting the charcoal or firewood in advance so that we can have it prepared before your arrival.
