WELCOME TO VERA GRANDE From Vera Grande, we would like to welcome you and thank you for your interest in our cabins, an accommodation designed to enjoy nature, tranquility, and the rural environment. Our cabins are located within a 60,000 m² estate, in the heart of the La Vera region, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos and surrounded by a privileged environment, with forests, trails, and numerous gorges of crystal-clear waters. AN ACCOMMODATION IN THE MIDST OF NATURE One of the characteristics that makes Vera Grande special is precisely its location in the countryside. For this reason, and although we pay special attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of the cabins, occasionally some insects or small animals native to the natural environment may enter. To minimize this possibility, we recommend keeping the doors closed, especially at night when the interior lights are on, and avoiding leaving open food or food scraps outside. IMPORTANT: RESTRICTIONS DURING SUMMER For safety and fire prevention reasons, during the high fire risk period, from May 27 to October 15, 2026, it is prohibited to make fires and use the barbecue. These restrictions must be respected at all times and may be adapted to the guidelines established by the competent authorities. BARBECUE AND FIREPLACE Outside the prohibition period, the use of the barbecue is free of charge. Guests can bring their own charcoal and lighting material. If preferred, we can prepare it for you: Bag of charcoal + fire starters: 10 € To enjoy the cabin's fireplace, we can also provide: Wheelbarrow of firewood + fire starters: 10 € The firewood is stored covered and protected from the rain. However, since we are in a mountainous area with high humidity, especially during rainy periods or prolonged bad weather, the firewood may retain some moisture, which can sometimes make it take longer to ignite. For this reason, we also provide fire starters to facilitate lighting the fireplace. We recommend requesting the charcoal or firewood in advance, so we can have it prepared before your arrival.
