Welcome to the charming Verwalterhaus on Gut Neuwerk - a place where history, nature and relaxation merge in a unique way. The lovingly renovated former caretaker's house is nestled in the Eifel nature reserve and offers you a retreat full of peace, originality and comfort. Here you will be surrounded by meadows, old trees and a spacious 6-hectare outdoor area that invites you to discover and linger. Numerous hiking and cycling trails start right on the doorstep, including the famous Roman Canal hiking trail, which runs along a historic water pipeline all the way to Cologne. Part of this ancient structure even forms the living room wall of your vacation home - history you can touch! The house can accommodate up to six people and, with three cozy bedrooms (two with king-size beds, one with bunk beds), is ideal for families, friends or couples. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to cook together, while the open-plan living and dining area with its rustic charm invites you to relax. The newly renovated bathroom provides comfort after an active day in the great outdoors. We are Sara and Michael, with our three children Max, Romy and Michel. We have lived at Gut Neuwerk since May 2019. In December of the same year, we were joined by Grandma Angelika and Grandpa Karl-Heinz, who moved to us from Bavaria, more precisely from Lake Ammersee. Before that, we were in Cologne and really enjoyed city life with all its offers and opportunities. Then the children came along and the three-room apartment became too small, the streets too noisy and the air too dirty. In short, our priorities shifted. So we searched more or less intensively for an alternative for over two years, but nothing really suited us. Until we found Gut Neuwerk. We wanted to get out into the countryside, but that far? In any case, it was green, very green! And we were already in love. And as is the case when you're in love, all the arguments against it no longer counted.
