For years, our world revolved around deadlines, text messages, and the hum of the office air conditioning. We’ve left all that behind! We’ve traded the corporate rat race for a “slow” life in Szklarska Poręba. These days, we’re busy with metalwork and carpentry, and we’re tending to the place we’re inviting you to visit. A place where time definitely slows down—you won’t find noisy pedestrian streets or crowded fast-food joints here. We live in the oldest and “happily” forgotten part of Szklarska. The houses we offer are situated on a large two-hectare property; here we have a vast wild meadow, an ancient beech forest, granite rocks, and a park area. At the heart of the property stands the old, former German villa Reszyniec from the early 20th century, where one apartment is available for guests. There are only four addresses on our street and nothing but wonderful neighbors: a handyman and collector of anything that might still come in handy, a painter, and a couple who fled Warsaw to work online with a view of the Karkonosze Mountains. A little further afield, you might encounter deer, alpacas, ponies, sheep, and a crazy donkey. If you go for a walk after the rain, watch your step—we’re lucky that you can still spot salamanders in our area. These little black-and-yellow dragons are regulars around here. The Jelenia Góra Valley region is a hub of small organic farms. A local market is held twice a week, where you can find artisanal cheeses, crusty bread, various sweets, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. For the kids, we have a lively, wild meadow, a vast heath, a playground, and in winter, an illuminated sledding hill with Ghosky sleds. We warmly invite you to visit. Szymon and Renata
