They provide a cool refuge from the sunny Spanish climate but also serve as a gateway to discovering the rich cultural heritage and stunning Nature. This guide describes the charms of cave houses in Spain. It highlights their eco-friendly features, the variety of experiences they offer, and tips for planning a peaceful escape into Nature.

What is a cave house?

A cave house is quite a fascinating dwelling. It is essentially a home built into or built from a natural cave, making it an integral part of its surrounding landscape. These homes are known for their natural insulation, maintaining a comfortable temperature inside regardless of the weather outside. In Spain, these unique abodes have been transformed into cozy, charming residences that combine historic architecture with modern amenities. Living in a cave home means having the opportunity to experience a deep connection with Nature, enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings, and live a lifestyle that is both environmentally friendly and culturally rich. 🌿

What is the cost of a rental of a cave house in Spain?

If you're dreaming of a trip that's different from your typical hotel stay, renting a cave house in Spain might be the right solution, and doesn't have to break the bank. The cost can vary greatly depending on location, size, and amenities offered. Generally, prices start at around €60 per night for smaller, more rustic options. They can go up significantly for larger or more comfortable cave houses. If you're on a budget or just like to shop for a good deal, look out for last-minute offers on websites like AlohaCamp. Is it possible to bring a pet? 🐾

Absolutely. You can bring your furry friend along. Many cave house rentals in Spain are pet-friendly, recognizing that pets are part of the family. It’s always best to check the specific policy of the cave house you’re interested in, as some might require an additional deposit or have certain restrictions on the size or number of pets. But overall, it's quite common to find accommodations that welcome pets. All for you to enjoy your Nature-filled vacation with your beloved companion by your side.

The place is beautiful, no detail is missing nothing, you have everything to eat, to note that there is no supermarket very close, and warn, but the peace that is lived is great, plus the dogs super welcome without discrimination, that owners sometimes we are sometimes with many restrictions, being responsible and clean. The treatment was phenomenal, to keep in mind that when it is windy the tarps make a lot of noise but they provide you with plugs and ready, I could sleep perfectly. In summer it may be very hot under the tarps but there are areas of trees outside cool and small communal pool. We will definitely come back, but when it's cooler! thanks for everything!

The environment, the Júcar gorges, spectacular, surprising for unknown, thank you very much to XUQ and Alohacamp for discovering it. Incredible sunsets on the terrace. The resort, very well set up, elegant accommodations, taking advantage of the caves, with a very neat architecture and decoration. Although the breakfast is good, it lacks something more elaborate, hot. And a restaurant where you can order something to eat if you don't want to leave the hotel, which is what the body needs to enjoy the comfort of the room even more. In summer, when the bar in the beach area is ready, the experience will be much better. We did not use the Jacuzzi because we felt that in dry season the 1,000 liters was too much. Note, there is no phone signal (a plus?) although the wifi makes up for it (if you want it). The only downside is that in our room architecture was prioritized over practicality and there was no door, not even separating the bathroom area. This, in addition to the...
